My personal favorite day of the year is finally coming to the Philippines; my heart is overwhelmed with excitement while my brain is trying to hide from my mouth. Why? Well because 7-eleven’s BYO cup day is finally debuting here on the 7th November 2013. This was a yearly tradition for me and my buddies back in Australia, we would hop on the bus from school with our most outrageous, large and sometimes smelly cups, to fill up with our favorite flavored slurpee.
This day would always become a competition between my friends and I to who could bring the most outrageous cup, within the guidelines of course. Though now you even have the chance to win 5,000 pesos for the most creative cup, this is truly an amazing opportunity, one ill be sure to hang around for and photograph some of your great cup ideas.
For those wanting to not only get an amazing amount of slurpee for only 29 pesos, this competition is a great opportunity to earn some extra cash while having great fun with some painful brain freezes along the way. To enter, the cup must be clean, leak-proof, fixed in shape & size and can fit through the “MaCUPangyarihang Bilog” (a standee with a hole that measures 9 inches in diameter). The winner will be decided from the photos you upload with the hashtag #BYOcupday after following 7-Eleven’s Facebook & Instagram.
I cant wait for this day to be honest, frozen slurpee’s, hot Manila day, outrageously fun cups and socializing will be the highlight of my already daily 7-Eleven trips. Be sure to join and hopefully ill see you guys on the day after I upload where ill be hanging out so we can all enjoy this fantastic day together.

Not often do us Filipinos get the chance to witness a breathtaking sunset on a fine evening, in fact when was the last time we’ve seen a decent sunset in Manila? As gloomy weather fades in and out each day, there’s no telling when we’ll get to see the next sunset and when it does, rarely am I ever there to appreciate it.
Last Sunday for the first time in a long time, I just so happened to be on my way home when I noticed a huge ray of light beaming before my eyes. With all this unorthodox weather, I just assumed it would momentarily pass by. Turns out I was wrong. With my apartment being located facing towards the east, I’m never exposed to the sunset, so I couldn’t help but make the effort and venture towards my rooftop to check it out with my photographer, Khai Van Kampen. It was actually his suggestion and although I’ve done so many blog posts on my rooftop already, this was most certainly an opportunity not worth missing out on.
Dressing for rainy weather, I figured my thrifted camo jacket would be the most suitable option. In case the jacket did get wet - which it did, it was no real issue because the rain usually blends with the camouflage before it starts to get soaked. Usually I like to stay basic but if I had worn my Topman button down tee on it’s own, then the raindrops would be easily exposed. Camo and light blue seem to be a relatively a good option aside from plain white – at least then you can play around with different colors and shades of pants.
I decided to wear my new Dr. Martens shoes for the first time because it just so happened to work with the rest of my attire. Dark blue shoes can be tricky to work with if you don’t have many pants to choose from. If you somehow one day end up with a fresh new pair of navy blue shoes, I suggest dark pants or a light green shade of chinos be your best option.

When I made my The Fort the a few days ago, I was unsure whether or not I’d be attending an event after carrying out my errands for the day. It was humid, lightly drizzling and definitely no room to prepare a second outfit, yet I wanted to stay functional and have options incase the event followed through. As I’m active guy constantly travelling from location to location I always enjoy dressing casual from top to bottom. All it takes is simple alterations such as oversize tees, rolled up sleeves and chinos coupled with accessories and I’ve effectively changed my entire look. But seeing as I had an event I wanted stay simple and dress accordingly without having to change my outfit.
I picked up this camouflage Pull & Bear rain jacket that was given to me and thought it would be perfect for both occasions. Being an avid fan of sporting apparel, I couldn’t say no to a lightweight comfortable weatherproof jacket. It was just a bonus that the jacket came in a trendy camouflaged look
My shoes are fresh from SM Mens Fashion, still available from when I picked them up 2 months ago. I couldn’t help but to wear them on the day for the first time as they’re comfy, affordable and they come in a really sleek badass black color with thick white soles. Initially I had always wanted a pair because the first time I saw them, they looked awesome, and as soon as I placed my right foot inside I knew it was going to be a comfy ride from then on.
